Missy Schultz was hired in the summer of 2010 as Associate Athletic Trainer at Butler University. Schultz came to Butler after spending two years at the University of Wyoming. Her primary responsibilities at Butler are women’s basketball, cross country, track and field, football and swimming.
Also, starting in 2011, Schultz was given supervisory responsibilities for an annual athletic training intern.
While at Wyoming, Schultz was the head trainer for men’s and women’s swimming & diving as well as an assistant for Cowboy football. Prior to her time at Wyoming, she spent one year as head athletic trainer at Judson University in Elgin, Ill.
Schultz, a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and a member of the College Athletic Trainers Society, also served as a trainer for Universal Studios/NBC on a football movie set as well as stints at Benedictine University and Northern Illinois University.
Schultz graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education from Western Illinois University in 2004. She earned her masters degree in Education with an emphasis in exercise physiology and fitness leadership from Northern Illinois University in 2006.
