Butler University computer science students finished third in their bracket (and fourth overall) in the Carnegie Mellon Spring Programming contest held March 25 and 26 in Pittsburgh.The competition included approximately 28 teams from universities around the country. Each team was given 10 computer science problems to solve (program) during a five-hour period. The team with the most correct answers, completed in the least amount of time, was the winner.IMC Financial Markets hosted the event.The Butler Students who participated were Jonathan Baird, Logan Durham, David Johnson, Kyler Naylor, Ben Patterson and David Wacker. Dr. Ankur Gupta, an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department, was the faculty coach.
