Butler College of Education Assistant Dean Angela Lupton and Assistant Professor Catherine Hagerman Pangan, Ed.D., presented the webinar “Identifying Your Capacity and Voice in Teacher Leadership” March 10 through the e-Chapter website Kappa Delta Pi, international honor society in education.
Some 60 participants registered for the presentation that focused on how educator can clarify their roles and abilities as leaders in instructional, school and educational-policy settings. Pangan and Lupton discussed support frameworks, such as servant-leadership and asset-based thinking that can help teachers accomplish both short- and long-term professional goals as they build their leadership skills and voice.
The pair previously co-presented a Webinar for KDP, titled “Who Is That Person Teaching My Students?” Lupton holds a B.S. in aducation from Butler (1992) and an M.S. in school counseling (2001). Pangan earned her master’s in education from Butler in 1999.
