A video created by Butler students to show the campus’ Final Four spirit will air on the ESPN2 program First Take Friday, April 1, between 10 a.m. and noon. The video will also be posted on the ESPN web site.

On March 28, program producers invited the 2011 NCAA men’s basketball Final Four competitors to submit two-minute, student-produced videos showing campus spirit for the upcoming championship games.

College of Communication students who created the Butler video included Adam Bonner (senior, electronic media-video production mjaor ) Mark Lewis (senior, digital media production, or DMP, major), Whitney Tarble (senior, DMP) and Trevor Roach (junior, DMP). Elyssa Garfinkle (senior, DMP) wrote the script and reported.

They incorporated video and still images of the basketball team and fans.

CCOM Faculty members Scott Bridge and Christine Buck Taylor advised the students but did not do any work on the project, per ESPN2’s guidelines. Buck Taylor complimented the students for completing the video on extremely short notice.
