Internal (Butler) Deadline: August 15, 2011
NEH Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities. Successful applicants receive an outright award of $6,000 for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. The NEH deadline is September 29, 2011 to support work during the summer of 2012; the internal Butler deadline is August 15, 2011.
NEH stipulates that only two faculty members per institution may apply. Therefore, Butler has established an internal review process. To apply to be one of Butler’s two candidates, please submit a proposal narrative, following NEH Summer Stipend proposal guidelines, to Rebecca DeGrazia (rdegrazia@butler.edu) by August 15th. The BAC committee will rank the proposals and the two highest will advance to the NEH competition.
