Butler’s Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) Doctoral Internship in Psychology program recently received reaccreditation from the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation.

The program admits three interns each year, who provide clinical services to campus. Last academic year, interns provided much of the service offered by CCS, which included seeing 361 individuals for therapy and delivering 75 mental health outreach programs across campus.

Interns for 2012-2013 are Nancy Zlatkin of Nova Southeastern University, Florida; Emily Padgett of Bowling Green University, Ohio; and Kara Massie of Suffolk University, Massachusetts.

CCS Director Keith Magnus, Ph.D., HSPP, said accreditation involves a self-study and site visit of the program every seven years. “I appreciate the faculty and staff across campus who participated in the site visit,” Magnus said, “and my entire staff for contributing to the re-accreditation process and providing a high-quality training program to doctoral students.”
