College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Associate Professor Jennifer Snyder ’97 has been elected to the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) board of directors. She will serve two years in an at-large seat on the eight-member board.
The only national organization in the United States representing physician assistant (PA) educational programs, PAEA represents nearly 170 accredited PA programs.
Mike Roscoe, director of Butler’s Physician Assistant program, said peer member programs voted Snyder onto the board.
“This was a very competitive process, and Jennifer did a fantastic job,” he said. “She is an excellent representative of Butler University and our college.”
A Butler facultymember since 1999, Snyder has been honored on campus and nationally for her teaching expertise. She was named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) in 2010 and received the 2011 President’s Award from the AAPA Student Academy.
