Butler University will present a free screening and panel discussion of the film Someone You Love, the story of five women afflicted with HPV and cervical cancer, on Tuesday, January 26, at 6:00 PM in the Atherton Union Reilly Room.

ChristineCheeringSomeone You Love follows five brave women who are afflicted by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and cervical cancer. The film also interviews some of the world’s top experts on HPV, which is the most common sexually transmitted infection in humans. More about the film is here.

The panel discussion will include Dr. Maria Fletcher, Physician in Butler University Health Services, and Dr. Gregory Zimet, Professor of Pediatrics and Clinical Psychology at Indiana University School of Medicine and Co-Director of the IUPUI Center for HPV Research along with Erica Frazier Stum, a local Cervivor Ambassador.

A small resource fair will be held before and after the event featuring partners from Anthem, Cervivor, Indiana Immunization Coalition, Butler University Health Services, and the Cancer Support Community of Central Indiana.

Light refreshments will be served. All visitors and guests to campus are directed to the parking garage, located on the 4700 block of Sunset Avenue. Register now.
