The Schrott Center for the Arts is pleased to present Laura Stennett’s exhibit, Evolving Landscapes: An Evolution of Time and Memory. We hope you will join us for a reception on Monday, March 13, from 4:30–6:30 PM.
Through the fluidity of liquid acrylic, watercolor, delicate mark makings of pen and ink, and other mediums, Laura Stennett explores the ever-evolving landscapes of Texas, the Western U.S. and the Midwest. Mountains, sea, forest and desert are revealed in Stennett’s paintings with bursts of color, iridescent highlights and fine details, telling the many untold stories and treasures that occur within nature. Laura Stennett’s exhibition titled, “Evolving Landscapes: An Evolution of Time and Memory,” reveals these abstract landscapes as either a glimpse of a moment or a slow change over time and represents a reflection of Stennett’s memories in each geographical area.
