Provides programming, events and engagement activities for current and past parents, future and existing alumni. Butler Collegian

The University’s award-winning, student-run newspaper that is constantly pushing the boundaries of news reporting, design and online content by striving to keep up with innovation within the industry. Butler Community Arts School

An initiative of the Jordan College of Fine Arts, BCAS is an arts education and outreach program that provides instruction in specific performing arts disciplines to all ages and abilities. Instruction is provided by carefully selected and trained Butler students (“Teaching Fellows”). Faculty offer mentoring, guidance and administrative support. This program has the dual mission of providing quality arts instruction at an affordable price, while also developing community involvement and civic-mindedness in University students.

Butler University Police Department (BUPD)

Offers educational and awareness programs on crime prevention and emergency response for students, faculty and staff. BUPD continually makes safety enhancements to campus grounds and develops precautionary measures that touch every aspect of campus life. Center for Faith and Vocation

Center for Global Education

Provides leadership and coordination for the comprehensive internationalization of Butler University.  CGE administers Butler’s study abroad and exchange programs; works with Colleges and faculty groups to develop grant proposals for internationalization initiatives; and establishes partnerships with front-rank universities in other countries.

Health Education and Outreach Programs

Addresses critical issues affecting college students by coordinating peer education programs (PAWS & GEAR), providing direct programming and consultation to students in areas related to health and wellness, and by coordinating the Victim Advocate Program. Butler University’s Victim Advocate Program offers support and information for victims of sexual assault, interpersonal violence and harassment by trained staff members.  Support is available 24-hours a day from a Victim Advocate.

Hinkle Fieldhouse

Constructed in 1928 and originally called Butler Fieldhouse, the facility was the largest basketball arena in the United States for more than 20 years. Renamed in 1966 in honor of Butler’s legendary coach and athletic director, Paul D. “Tony” Hinkle, Hinkle Fieldhouse is a National Historic Landmark and seats around 10,000.In addition to the gymnasium, Hinkle boasts an indoor track, classrooms, locker rooms, Athletic Department offices and a 4,000-square-foot weight room. Butler men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball teams play their home matches in Hinkle.

Holcomb Observatory & Planetarium

Serving Butler University students and the public. One of the largest public observatories in the world, it houses a 38-inch Cassegrain reflector in addition to a number of smaller telescopes. Parking is regulated by the Department of Public Safety. All University students, faculty and staff are required to register their vehicles to park on campus and adjacent city streets. There is a registered covenant between Butler University and the Butler-Tarkington Neighborhood Association, in compliance with Indiana code, that requires University parking services to enforce neighborhood parking regulations. Temporary parking permits can be issued at anytime by visiting the Butler University Police Department or the 24-hour dispatch center located in the same building.
