Butler Ballet will hold auditions for Clara, Fritz, Party Children, Polichinelles, and other children’s roles in The Nutcracker on Sunday, September 10, from 1:00-4:00 PM in Lilly Hall Studio 310.
Butler Ballet is looking for boy and girl auditioners ages 6-14. They must have ballet training and be no taller than 5 feet tall. Girls auditioning for the role of Clara should have some pointe training. Also needed is one young performer, no taller than 4 feet, with advanced tumbling skills (an aerial or back handspring minimum) to tumble on hard floor.
Dancers are selected by size, age, and technical ability. No preparation of audition material is necessary.
This year’s performances of The Nutcracker will take place November 30-December 3 in Clowes Memorial Hall.
